The Ming Pao Group's publishing activities began in 1959 when the founders, Dr Louis Cha and Mr. Shen Pao Sing, formed a partnership to publish a daily newspaper, the Ming Pao Daily News. Through its forty-fhree years' development, the Group currently publishes three daily newspapers, namely Ming Pao Daily News in Hong Kong, Ming Pao Daily News (West Canada) in Vancouver, Canada, Ming Pao Daily News (East Canada) in Toronto, Canada and Ming Pao Daily News (New York) in the USA and five magazines namely, Ming Pao Weekly, Ming Pao Monthly, City Children's Weekly, Yazhou Zhoukan, and Hi-Tech Weekly. It also publishes a range of general interest books, mainly in paperback form. In addition, it also operates the Mingpao.com and a travel agency Charming Holidays.
